We are partnering with Mott Community College – Flint on Thursday, August 22 from 11 am – 3 pm to bring you a resource fair full of various organizations willing to support you in finding your next job opportunity. This free event is open to all!

Housed in Flint, Michigan, we are a non-profit with a mission to relieve the innovator of the entrepreneurial burden. We know entrepreneurship can be difficult, and that’s why we’re here to help. As a community of student professionals, led by a dynamic leadership team, we vet entrepreneurial ideas to provide a helping hand in business development to anyone regardless of their prior experience or background.

Communities First Inc.

Founded in 2010, the mission of Communities First, Inc. (CFI) is to build healthy, vibrant communities through economic development, affordable housing and innovative programming.

We focus on providing safe, quality affordable housing and implementing programs that improve the quality of life for all. To empower people, we educate about financial literacy and connect entrepreneurs with resources, host arts and culture experiences, and lead community engagement opportunities. These programs operate simultaneously to provide wrap around supports to community members.

Crossover Outreach

Crossover Outreach is a 501c3 in Flint Michigan that provides free emergency basic needs items to those struggling financially. Since 1991, Crossover has been providing these daily services, showing the love of Christ, restoring HOPE, and rebuilding lives. We also provide annual programs to help uplift families at times when the budget is tight, Easter, Summer Camp, Back to School, Thanksgiving, New Winter Coats for Kids, and Christmas programs all aim to assist families at these potentially stressful times. All services are provided with love, dignity and respect. Crossover’s goal is to lift up our neighbors in need of a helping hand as they strive to achieve their hopes, dreams, and goals.

CSL Plasma

CSL Plasma is One of the World’s Largest Collectors of Human Plasma As a leader in plasma collection, CSL Plasma is committed to excellence and innovation in everything we do. Our work ensures that tens of thousands of people can live normal, healthy lives. Plasma derived medicines treat those with immunodeficiencies, neurological disorders, shock, burns, and more. It’s used in operating rooms around the country for transplant patients and surgical patients. Plasma saves lives, and by donating at CSL Plasma, you can help tens of thousands of people across the globe. CSL Plasma operates one of the world’s largest and most sophisticated plasma collection networks, with close to 350 plasma collection centers in the U.S. and Europe with over 17,000 employees. Plasma collected at CSL Plasma facilities is used by CSL Behring for the purpose of manufacturing and delivering.

Flint Genesee Job Corps.

Job Corps is a no- cost residential educational program and job training program for young adults ages 16-24, administered by U.S. Department of Labor. It helps individuals improve their lives by providing vocational training with the benefits of earning high school diploma or high school equivalency leading to careers and independent living. For over 60 years Job Corps has been helping young people achieve successful careers in the fastest growing industries.

Genesee County Friend of the Court

The Genesee County Friend of the Court is part of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court. The Role of the Friend of the Court is to serve the Court by administering and enforcing the court’s orders for child support, spousal support, child custody, and parenting time. Our purpose is to engage with families and help them navigate the system.

Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) provides educational leadership that impacts instruction, learning, student achievement, productivity, and efficiency. GST Michigan Works! 

GST Michigan Works! is one of sixteen (16) Michigan Works! agencies across the State of Michigan operating workforce development programs designed to assist employers in finding skilled workers and job seekers prepare for, find and retain employment.

GST Michigan Works! has a region-wide team of employer-focused Business Solutions Professionals available in Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Sanilac, Shiawassee, and Tuscola counties to serve the needs of businesses. Additionally, GST offers a variety of employment services facilitated by an experienced staff of Career Coaches, Employment Specialists, and a diverse network of partners offering a host of Education, Training, and Development resources.

State of Michigan/Veterans’ Employment Services

Veterans’ Employment Services provides individualized career services to veterans’, spouses, and eligible persons who are experiencing significant barriers to employment. Some of these services include, but are not limited to resume development, educational training, transportation and housing assistance to include networking and direct referral to other service providers in order to reduce or eliminate barriers to employment.
